and the moon is the only light
Death over my head
on black wings she flies
Rest already gone
frozen to the bone
the storm rages on
why should I have hope


So I'll have my rest
and end this fruitless quest
beyond groans of life
awaits sweet oblivion

Crippled, broken and forgotten
oh, Death, please comfort me
my desired sweet oblivion
I give myself unto thee
warmth is floating out of me
my eyes can no longer see
how much longer must I wait
for this end of me

Now as I lay
buried under the snow
my body's numb
howling wind calls me home
and in my veins
blood no longer flows
Here I will sleep in this
beautiful frozen white tomb

So I'll have my rest
and end this fruitless quest
